Service Net adds insurance-industry veteran
Company to add new insurance-related programs
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (July 13, 2004)
Service Net is expanding its service offerings through the leadership of a recently added insurance executive. Rene Henderson, formerly a vice president with Great American Insurance Company, has joined Service Net in the newly created role of vice president of risk management and business development.
“Rene will help us build upon our core competency of service and administration, and offer new types of insurance-related programs to our clients,” said Kevin Callahan, Service Net’s chief executive officer.
Henderson was with Cincinnati-based Great American for eleven years, most recently as vice president over business development, operations and claims for the Premier Lease & Loan Services division. There, she managed the national insurance company’s business with warranty and service-contract companies such as Service Net.
Henderson said she will help Service Net create opportunities for its clients through new insurance products. These might include programs their current manufacturer and retail clients may offer their commercial customers to protect leased equipment, or an office-equipment maintenance plan, similar to a whole-home warranty, that protects a range of products from PCs and printers to break room microwaves for small businesses.
“We’ll create specialty insurance programs like these that bring our business partners increased revenue, and capitalize on Service Net’s expertise in service and administration to further enhance our clients’ customer service and drive customer loyalty,” Henderson said.
Service Net established a registered insurance agency, SNS Insurance Agency, LLC, to accommodate these programs.
“Joining Service Net is a tremendous opportunity for me, not only to join a company with such an outstanding reputation for customer-service for its clients, but also to help the company build new initiatives from the ground up,” Henderson said.
Henderson is a chartered property and casualty underwriter (CPCU), and has additional insurance experience with Progressive Insurance. She earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Cincinnati, and she and her family are relocating from Cincinnati to Simpsonville, Ky.
